Columbia River High School

Home of the Chieftains!

Welcome Columbia River High School Alumni!

September 4, 1962, Columbia River High School opened it’s doors to approximately 800 students grades 10-12.  That began a legacy marked by the Chieftain, a symbol of our school spirit for nearly six decades.

I’m sure your time at “River” has many memories.  I hope this website becomes a virtual “Rock” to connect with old friends and share stories long forgotten with fellow classmates.

Once a Chieftain...
Always a Chieftain!

On September 8, 2021 the Vancouver School District took it upon themselves to remove 59 years of tradition and voted to change the mascot of Columbia River High School.

Multiple times prior to this, current students at Columbia River were surveyed, and every time the student body voted to keep the Chieftain as their mascot.

This site is dedicated to the Alumni of Columbia River High School who are proud to call themselves Chieftains, and honor what it means to be one.
